Class styles

  • We all start somewhere. This class is a perfect introduction if you are new to yoga, recovering from an injury, or a great refresher of the basics for those a little more seasoned.

    We will explore different styles of yoga so you get a broader feel for different practices & break down the concepts to build confidence in a supportive environment.

    You are always encouraged to modify the practice to suit your needs (adjusting for any injuries, limitations, or general fluctuations in energy levels) & here is where you will gain the understanding of how to do this – please let your teacher know of any specifics so they can tailor this guidance for you.

    Our beginners classes are a safe place to get aquainted with yoga, to get to know how it feels for you & uncover what styles of practice best suit you. Some will feel called to try different classes quite quickly, others will choose to stay with beginners classes for many months, or even years!

    You'll find all kinds of people in class, so don’t be shy - come as you are.

  • This clasic style of yoga blends effort with ease. This is a slower paced class where you will receive more instructions on alignment, clutivating a deep sense of mind/body connection.

    We will explore some flowing movements mixed with steady, stronger postures, holding for several breaths to empower you to build strength, mobility and body awareness as you explore each asana (posture).

    All of our classes blend elements of yogic phylosophy, pranayama (breathwork), mindfulness and meditation.

    Hatha is suitable for all levels.

  • Mellow yoga is our signature style! This absolute treat for your body & mind is mostly kept low to the ground, it will leave you feeling more nurtured & refreshed then when you went into class.

    This low engergy style will combine some flowing, somatice based movements to aid mobility, with gentle breathwork & longer, mindful holds in supported postures to down regulate your nervous system.

    Suitable for beginners to experienced.

  • Join us for a rejuvenating and bonding experience in those early days of motherhood. Our Mums & Bubs classes are a fun and safe way for you to move your body, calm your mind and most importantly connect with your little one!

    This class is designed for new mothers to discover or ease back into a yoga practice while incorporating their baby into the experience.

    No prior yoga experience is necessary for mums; our expert yogi will guide you through mindful movement and breathwork that focus on rebuilding strength, flexibility, and relaxation after childbirth. The class provides a supportive environment for mothers to connect with one another and share the joys and challenges of parenthood.

    Babies will be incorporated into the practice, fostering a sense of closeness and calm. This class offers an opportunity for new mothers to enhance their well-being while nurturing their bond with their baby.

    Come join us for a blissful session that honors the unique journey of motherhood and provides a nurturing space for both mums and bubs to thrive.

    This class is run in line with the school terms and we break during the school holidays.

  • This class is specifically facilitated to support mothers to be. Some doctors recommend only practicing yoga during the 2nd and 3rd Trimester so please consult yours first for your pregnancy specific guidance. If you are in your 1st Trimester, please contact us before attending.

    This gentle class is a beautiful way to keep moving during your pregnancy. You will be expertly guided through simple flows, empowering postures and Pilates inspired pelvic-floor exercises to benefit the muscles required during childbirth.

    Our classes are balanced with restorative shapes to relieve tension in the body, calm the mind and provide emotional support. We finish we a guided meditation focused on connecting with baby and the journey of Motherhood.

    Please arrive about 10 minutes early to your first class to meet the teacher, discuss your pregnancy, intentions for the class, any injuries and get settled in.

  • Restorative yoga is the antidote to the busyness of daily life.

    This is a practise designed to invite rest into the body and mind. Expect minimal effort in long held, deeply nourishing shapes supported by props to create space in the body and calm the nervous system.

    The power of stillness and deep mindful breathing encourages the nervous system to transition from “fight and flight” into “rest and repair”.

    Give yourself the gift of taking time to activate your body’s ability to heal itself from this place of rest.

    Perfect for beginners and advanced yogis.

  • Vinyasa is a vibe! The sanskrit word means ‘to place with purpose’.

    This style of practice is designed to cultivate mindfulness - focusing the mind on linking the rhythyms of breath & movements together, building momentum until you completely drop into a flow likened to a moving meditation. There will be less alignment cues in this class to allow for freedom of expression & cultivate creativity.

    This dynamic practice may create heat in the body and offer you optional moments to challenge skills and grow in your practice. Each teacher will add their own flavour to a vinyasa practice so you'll always find something new to explore. Sometimes you might get a little sweaty, but you will likely leave feeling energised and revitalised.

    This class is most suitable for those with some yoga experience, however beginners are welcome. We offer modifications to suit various levels, but some beginner students will prefer to start with the slower paced classes that provide more instruction, until they become familiar with the various postures.

  • Yin Yoga brings a sparkle to your body and mind like no other yoga practice does.

    It is a floor-based opportunity to go against the grain of our busy modern lives and drop into stillness, where we can rest in supported poses for 3-5 minutes at a time.

    Whether you are a strong and fit athlete, lead a busy life with too little time for exercise, are dealing with an injury or chronic health condition, Yin Yoga has the quality to give you exactly what you need.

    Yin targets the subtler elements of ourselves;

    Physically, we target the bodies layer of fascia. It can help to relieve muscular tension, stiffness in joints, back and shoulder aches, pain from inflammatory conditions and much more.

    Energetically, Yin Yoga can help to shift blocked energy, so that we can experience a sence of balance and ease.

    Suitable for beginners
